Institutional Healthcare Principles in Practice Series 2022-2023
Each year the University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga sponsors an Institutional Core Curriculum called our Healthcare Principles in Practice Series (HPP). At this time, the 2022-2023 Academic Year sessions have returned to in-person session conducted in Probasco Auditorium on the Ground Floor of the Erlanger Medical Mall (Noon - 1 pm ET). We are continuing to utilize the Zoom platform for those who cannot attend in person. We are recording all sessions and will upload the recording to our UTHSC College of Medicine Chattanooga YouTube Channel within a few days of the live event. Faculty members who desire AMA Category 1 CME Credit must attend the live session or live Zoom and complete an evaluation specific to that session and approved by the CME Office at UTHSC.
The purpose of the HPP Series is to augment overall Resident and Fellow Graduate Medical Education in areas that are applicable to all disciplines and specialties. These HPP sessions are usually held the 2nd Tuesday of each month between Noon and 1 pm and focus on general, broad-based topics such as those relating to Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, Well-Being, Professionalism, Sleep and Fatigue Mitigation, Prescribing, Substance Abuse, etc. All Faculty, Residents, Fellows, and Students are encouraged to attend HPP sessions; however, all 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year Residents and Fellows are required to attend or view the recording at a later time. Links are emailed to Program Coordinators as soon as the recordings are uploaded to the YouTube Channel.
