Tori Alexander, MD

Dr. Alexander's Bio
Dr. Alexander was born and raised in Lisle, Illinois, in the Chicago suburbs. She attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, majoring in microbiology, Spanish, and Latin American Studies while competing with the senior varsity synchronized skating team. Representing Miami and Team USA will always be one of her favorite life experiences. After graduation she completed her master’s degree in Global Health at the University of Notre Dame before attending The Ohio State University for medical school. The Midwest has been her home forever, but Tori is looking forward to joining the UTHSC and LeBonheur families and exploring all Memphis has to offer. She enjoys running, baking, and simply relaxing while spending time with family, friends, and her fur babies – kittens, Toni and Mel.

Blake Barton, MD

Dr. Barton's Bio
Dr. Barton grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, and graduated from The University of Tennessee – Knoxville with a BA in Hispanic Studies (Go Vols!). He completed his MD at UTHSC. When he is not working, he enjoys running, watching college football, and spending time with his wife, Becca, and their golden retriever, Moose. Blake is excited to continue his training in Memphis with UTHSC Med-Peds!

Brittany Brown, DO

Dr. Brown's Bio
Dr. Brown was born and raised in Greenville, North Carolina, which is in the eastern part of the state. She received her undergraduate degree in Health and Exercise Science from Wake Forest University (Go Deacs!) and her MPH from East Carolina University (arghhh!). Before attending medical school at Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine, she worked in research doing nephrology and hematology/oncology clinical trials at ECU. In her spare time, she likes to bake, read, binge-watch all the shows on Netflix and Hulu, and enjoy all things Peloton!

Dr. Gunnels's Bio
Dr. Gunnels was born and raised in Tennessee (Cookeville/Livingston area) and attended college at Tennessee Tech in Cookeville. He majored in Biochemistry and Biology and was fortunate to get to come to UTHSC for medical school. He loved both the city and the program and was excited to be able to stay here for residency. He enjoys reading (for fun), spending time outdoors, board/card game nights with friends, and biking.

Laura Harrison, MD

Dr. Harrison's Bio
Dr. Harrison was born and raised outside of Chicago, Illinois. For undergrad, she attended Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, where she studied anthropology. After taking a year off to do HIV prevention research, she moved to the smallest state (Rhode Island) to attend medical school at Brown University. Laura is thrilled to be moving to an entirely new city for Med/Peds residency and exploring all that Memphis has to offer! When she is not working, she enjoys going for long walks, trying new recipes, exercising, and daydreaming about when she can get a puppy.

Chloe Hundman, MD

Dr. Hundman's Bio
Dr. Hundman was born and raised in Bloomington, Illinois. She attended Rhodes College (Roll Lynx!) where she played softball and received her undergraduate degree in neuroscience. Chloe completed a healthcare administration internship at Methodist University Hospital prior to attending UTHSC for medical school. When she is not going for a run outside or cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals, she can be found coaching middle school softball, trying new Memphis restaurants, or working on her tennis and Spikeball games.

Katie McNiel, MD
Dell Medical School at The University of Texas – Austin

Dr. McNiel's Bio
Dr. McNiel grew up in Austin, Texas, before studying Religious Studies and Health Sciences at Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina. She returned to Austin for medical school and is excited to complete Med/Peds residency training in Memphis! Her interests with medicine center on health disparities and advocacy, particularly around weight-based discrimination and its intersections with other marginalized identities. When she gets home from work, she loves spending time with her husband and their daughter, as well as their two dogs. On days off, she enjoys hiking, playing games, and re-watching Gilmore Girls on a loop.

Kyle Mellinger, MD

Dr. Mellinger's Bio
Dr. Mellinger was born in Columbus, Ohio (Go Bucks!). He was raised for most of his life in Southern California and grew to love spending time in the ocean – surfing, snorkeling, and scuba diving. Traveling bck to the Midwest, he attended Wheaton College in Illinois for undergrad, where he played baseball and received a BS in Applied Health Science. After this, he returned to the Buckeye State to do medical school at The Ohio State University. The people at UTHSC then drew Kyle south, and he is now very excited to call Memphis home! In his time outside of work, Kyle loves to spend time with friends, family, and at church; enjoy a good story through books or movies; watch and play sports; and do things that make him feel like a kid again.

Christina "Chrissy" Miller, MD

Dr. Miller's Bio
Dr. Miller grew up in Gulfport, Mississippi. She graduated from Mississippi State University where she received a BS in Microbiology, as well as minors in Chemistry, Philosophy, and Religion. Chrissy obtained her medical degree from The University of Mississippi School of Medicine, and she is excited to continue her medical training at UTHSC as a medicine/pediatric resident! In her spare time, she enjoys playing sports, reading, and traveling.

Kamron Robinson, MD

Dr. Robinson's Bio
Dr. Robinson was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. He attended Jackson State University, located in Jackson, Mississippi, for his undergraduate studies. He majored in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. After graduating from JSU, he entered the Master of Science in Medical Sciences program at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Upon graduating with his Master’s, he was accepted into the medical degree program at Morehouse. He loves spending time with his wife, Brandi, and family and friends. He also loves sports (St. Louis Cardinals Baseball, NBA, NFL, etc.). He loves finding new series to watch in his free time. He is excited to begin his career at UTHSC and finding new BBQ spots!

Johanna Rosales-Chavez, DO

Dr. Rosales-Chavez's Bio
Dr. Rosales-Chavez was born in Santa Ana, California, but has called Alabama home since the age of twelve. She graduated from The University of Alabama at Birmingham with a degree in Psychology and then attended Mississippi College where she earned a Master of Medical Science. She attended the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine in Dothan, Alabama, for medical school. Jo is excited to start her Med/Peds training at UTHSC in Memphis! In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Andy; her son, Leo; and two dogs, Domino and Maia. They can’t wait to explore Memphis and join the UTHSC family! A few of their favorite things to do are be outdoors, eat (tacos are their favorite), follow their favorite sports teams (Roll Tide and Go Chargers), and travel.

Dr. Seabrook's Bio
Dr. Seabrook was born a Mississippi gal, growing up in Madison, Mississippi. She attended The University of Mississippi for undergrad, where she majored in Biochemistry. It was in Oxford where Paige met her wonderful husband, Hunt. After graduating, she moved back to Jackson to attend The University of Mississippi Medical Center for medical school. In her free time, she loves exploring small, local bookstores; shopping at Trader Joe’s; cooking; spending time with family and friends; and returning to Oxford to support the Ole Miss Rebels! Paige is so excited to now call Memphis home!
