Student Health Services

University Health Services is a multidisciplinary healthcare team that believes true wellness is achieved when we treat patients holistically – mind, body, and spirit.

Our care centers on building a strong, trusting relationship between you and our health care team. We aim to get to know you as a person, not just your clinical history. Our team is your partner in health and is dedicated to keeping you well.

Convenient Primary Care

UHS welcomes UTHSC faculty, staff, students, and their family members over the age of 18. We offer primary care as well as specialized care including behavioral health and occupational health.

Walk-in appointments are currently restricted due to COVID-19 precautions.

Most health insurance plans are accepted, including UTHSC sponsored plans for students and employees. If covered by another health insurance plan, please contact our office to verify whether or not your plan is accepted at UHS.

COVID-19 Updates

UHS remains open to serve the UTHSC campus during this time. We are committed to serving you on site or virtually. Contact 901.448.5630 to determine which appointment type is appropriate to meet your needs.

For the latest information about COVID-19, please visit the following links for up-to-date information:

To minimize the risk of exposure to patients and staff, UHS has implemented the following procedures:

  • Screening stations are designated at the main entrances of the clinic to assess UHS staff, patients, and visitors for temperature, symptoms, and/or exposures prior to entrance into the clinic.
  • Waiting rooms are configured to allow appropriate social distancing.
  • Patients are scheduled incrementally to facilitate social distancing when on-site services are required.
  • Virtual visits are utilized for patient care when feasible and appropriate.
  • All UHS staff members and patients are required to wear masks or facial coverings in the clinic in accordance with CDC recommendations and UTHSC campus policy.
