iLab at UTHSC

The UTHSC Office of Research is excited to announce that all institutional core facilities excluding the Lab Animal Care Unit (LACU) have adopted the Agilent iLab Solutions core facility management software. iLab is a web-based system highly customized for academic shared resources that will streamline research by making the process of requesting equipment reservations, completing order requests, and billing core users quicker and easier.

The Flow Cytometry and Cell Sorting Core (FCCS), Molecular Bioinformatics Core (mBIO), and the Proteomics and Metabolomics Core (PMC) have been using iLab since October 9, 2017.

A second wave of institutional cores launched iLab on January 4, 2018, including the Medicinal Chemistry (MedChem) Core and the Molecular Resource Center (MRC). The final wave of institutional core facilities adopted iLab on July 2, 2018. These facilities include the Regional Biocontainment Laboratory (RBL, for services and equipment use only; animal purchase and per diems will continue to be managed through LACU), the Research Histology Core (RHC), the Metabolic Phenotyping Mass Spectrometry (MPMS) unit of the Proteomics & Metabolomics Core (PMC), and the Light Sheet Fluorescence Microscopy (LSFM) unit of the Advanced Animal Imaging (AAI) core.

Now that all of our current institutional cores have integrated with iLab, all service requests and equipment reservations must be made through the iLab web interface. Paper forms will no longer be accepted for service requests.

If you need assistance managing iLab access, adding fund sources to your iLab profile, or requesting core services or equipment reservations, please first contact the respective core facility Director or the core facility Business Manager.
