Training Physician Champions

This project will launch a Health System Research Fellowship to train post-residency physicians and Health Care Quality and Health Outcomes Scholar Programs so they can train primary care resident physicians to be state and national champions for primary care practice transformation.

The Consortium will train physicians to become Physician Champions through its Scholars and Fellows programs in Health Care Quality, Health Outcomes, and Health Systems Research. As the Physician Champions are hired by Tennessee area health systems, they will become effective agents of health system transformation and population health improvement as a result of their training.

Ten physicians will become Physician Champions over five years, completing training and working with Tennessee area health systems.
