West Tennessee Regional Perinatal Program

About Us

The West Tennessee Regional Perinatal Program is part of Tennessee’s statewide perinatal regionalization system, designed to ensure that high-risk mothers and newborns receive timely, appropriate, and specialized care.

The purpose of this system is to provide an accessible, coordinated network of high-risk perinatal and neonatal services that meet the needs of vulnerable populations across the region.

Through state-supported infrastructure, regional programs ensure that providers have access to:

  • Specialized consultation
  • Evidence-based education
  • Coordinated referral pathways
  • Maternal and neonatal transport systems

This system impacts all mothers and infants in Tennessee by strengthening provider readiness and access to expert care.

Our Commitment

We are committed to improving maternal and infant health outcomes across West Tennessee through:

  • Education
  • Collaboration
  • Clinical excellence
  • Equity in care access

Additional program information

How does the regional perinatal system work?

Tennessee’s perinatal program operates through five designated regional centers, including West Tennessee, to ensure statewide coverage.

Each region provides:
