Curriculum Vitae 

Dr. Tracy D. McClinton is a 2013 alumna of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC). She completed the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) to Doctor of Nursing Practice Program, earning a degree as a Doctor of Nursing Practice with a concentration in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care. She earned her BSN from Union University in Germantown, Tennessee and her Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing from Shelby State Community College (currently Southwest Community College).

Dr. McClinton joined the UTHSC College of Nursing in September 2015 as an Assistant Professor in the Advanced Practice and Doctoral Studies Department. Prior to joining UTHSC, she served as a Hospitalist Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at Methodist LeBonheur north hospital and as a provider for the Infectious Disease Associates of Memphis. She has an extensive nursing background in critical care beginning from 1999.

She is a board certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She is also a board member of the Tennessee Nurse Practitioner Association, a board member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, a UTHSC faculty senate member, a member of the Greater Memphis Area Advanced Practice Nurses, and Hospice and Palliative Nurses’ Association.
