Mission Statement
The University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Nursing is an approved provider of Nursing Continuing Professional Development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation.
As an Approved Provider of Nursing Continuing Professional Development, our mission is to advance healthcare quality and safety through evidence-based, learner-centered continuing professional development for nurses, nursing students, advanced practice providers, and interprofessional healthcare professionals. The Approved Provider promotes lifelong learning, clinical excellence, professional growth, and practice improvement to enhance patient and population health outcomes across diverse care settings.
This mission is achieved through innovative educational activities designed to address identified practice gaps and support measurable improvements in knowledge, competence, and practice. Using evidence-based content, learner engagement strategies, and outcomes evaluation, the Approved Provider of Nursing Continuing Professional Development supports continuous quality improvement and advances the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered care.
