Student Committee on Research in Education (SCORE)
The Student Committee on Research in Education is a student-led campus organization that was formed to help better assist students in participating in research while in medical school. Research in during medical school can be a very rewarding and important part of an overall medical education. The committee is working on the following goals:
- Mentor Database: Collect and maintain an actively updated listing of opportunities available to medical students
- Fellowships and Funding: External and internal sources of stipends for research programs and conference/travel fees
- Writing Resources: Provide templates and guidance for writing mentor agreements, abstracts, posters, etc.
- Collaborate with faculty in developing poster forums, presentations, and ways to develop research opportunities at UTHSC
