Don’t Update to macOS 11 (Big Sur) Just Yet!

In testing, ITS has discovered that macOS 11 (Big Sur) is not compatible with our networking agents AnyConnect and ISE. We are still working with Cisco technical support to resolve this issue and will notify the campus as soon as your Mac OS can be safely updated.


Manditory Zoom HIPAA Upgrade

All UTHSC Users: Please follow these instructions to continue to use UTHSC Zoom. If you are experiencing issues with your current Zoom meeting links, you must switch to the HIPAA Zoom Account for the links to work.

UTHSC ITS provides guidance and instructions on how to safely and securely store and share university data and documents. You are ultimately in control and assume the responsibility for how you store and share university data. We ask that you take this responsibility seriously and use due diligence every time you share, both internal and external of UTHSC.   • Working remotely? Log in to the VPN every Friday! If you have a UTHSC Windows device and are working remotely, be sure to log into the VPN on Friday afternoon, so updates and security patches can be pushed to your computer. Visit the UTHSC VPN webpage for more information.
  • Blackboard Support Is Back on Campus! Email the Helpdesk at helpdesk@uthsc.edu or call 901.448.2222 for assistance with resolving Blackboard issues.
  • Keep Your Zoom App Updated! You may get kicked out of virtual meetings if you don't keep your Zoom app up-to-date.
  • Don't Share Your NetID Password!  You are responsible and liable for all processes initiated with your NetID, so don't share it with anyone! Learn more by viewing our ITS InfoSec-AC-002-Authentication policy.
  • Dreaming of a Password that Never Expires? It's now possible! Under the Non-Expiring Password Policy, change your password to 12 or more characters and the password never expires!
  • Examplify 2.0.2 Software: If you are on a Mac OS version earlier than Catalina, you need to download Examplify 2.0.2.
