Learn More Location: University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) Activity Overview: The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) Hamilton Eye Institute’s 2023 Clinical Update and Memphis Eye Society Conference highlights our commitment to improving the health of our patients and the dissemination of medical knowledge to our community. This two-day conference will expand participants’ knowledge through the review and discussion of evidence-based medicine that supports the treatment of a number of eye diseases. Topics will be presented to address the individual physician gaps and will include current diagnosis, skills, and methodologies within the practice environment. Educational Objectives:
Target Audience: Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, Research Faculty, Residents, Medical Students 8.75 CME / CEU credits provided AMA Credit Designation: The University of Tennessee College of Medicine (UTCOM) designates this live activity for a maximum of 8.75 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Continuing Education for Non-Physicians: The UTCOM will issue Certificates of Participation to non-physicians for participating in this activity and designates it for CEUs using the national standard that 1 hour of educational instruction is awarded .1 CEU. Accreditation: The UTCOM is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Registration: The course is free for Memphis Eye Society members, students, residents, and fellows. It is $50 for members of the Tennessee Academy of Ophthalmology, $100 for physicians, and $45 for technicians. This fee includes handouts, breaks, continental breakfast, and lunch.
