Important Notice - Clinics Reopening


UTHSC Audiology and Speech on-campus clinics will begin to re-open on Monday, June 1, 2020.

All hearing services will resume by appointment-only.  Arrangements for speech-language services are being made on an individual basis.  Questions about appointments, device repairs, and/or referrals should be directed to 865.974.5453 (hearing) or 865.974.5451 (speech, language, voice, swallowing/feeding) or via email at asp@uthsc.edu.

All patients are asked to closely read our COVID-19 Patient Guidelines before your appointment.

The Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology offers undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral education in audiology and speech-language pathology. The mission of the Department is consistent with the missions of UTHSC and the College of Health Professions. As such, the Department serves a major public service role by:

  • providing access to high quality education in audiology, speech-language pathology, and speech and hearing sciences.
  • operating clinical programs that offer excellence in care for individuals with communication disabilities.
  • generating new knowledge in the discipline of communication sciences and disorders through active research.
  • promoting life-long learning for alumni and other professionals across the state of Tennessee.
