The Neuro-Oncology (Brain Tumor) Group of the UTHSC Cancer Program has been deeply
committed to excellence since our partnership with the National Cancer Institute's
Brain Tumor Study Group in the 1980s. Dedicated to advancing both the quality of care
and scientific knowledge of central nervous system malignancies, our program centers
around regularly held multidisciplinary conferences including neurosurgeons, medical
oncologists, radiation oncologists, neuroradiologists, neuropsychologists and neuropathologists,
where cases are reviewed, and evidence-based decisions are made for active patients
by expert opinion. Utilizing the most up to date surgical and radiation technologies
and incorporating advanced molecular testing to identify both standard and innovative
therapies, our patients are provided the best care available in our region of the
US.
