Mentorship Program

Objectives

• Establish sustainable relationships between mentors and mentees via quarterly meetings
• Offer a framework for conversation focused on: leadership development, personal wellbeing, time management, optimizing study habits, effective communication, conflict resolution, team management, emotional intelligence
• Prepare residents for success as general surgeons or fellows by creating specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time bound goals
• Prepare residents for future leadership roles
• Encourage residents to apply for scholarships and attend conferences
