For all research related contracts and documents

Research contracts are designated for local signature. Authorized signatories are the Vice Chancellor for Research, Senior Associate Vice Chancellor for Research, Vice Chancellor for Finance, Operations, Chief of Staff, and the Chancellor.  
 
Most research related contracts will be signed by the interim Vice Chancellor for Research, Wesley Byerly, PharmD.
 
Contracts with foreign entities require review and signature by officials in the University of Tennessee Systems Office in Knoxville and are signed by David L. Miller, Chief Financial Officer.

Please note that faculty, staff, department heads and deans are NOT authorized to sign research agreements on behalf of UT. All research contracts (including confidentiality agreements and material transfer agreements) must be routed through Cayuse for official signature.
