The Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship Program at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center participates in the National Resident Match Program (NRMP).
 
Applicants may submit their applications through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) for the July application cycle.
 
 

Supporting Documents

The following documents must be included in the application process:

  • Completed application form
  • Current curriculum vitae
  • Personal statement including a description of previous research and clinical experience, reason for interest in a pediatric hospital medicine fellowship, and an indication of your career goals.
  • Three letters of recommendation, preferably one from the program director of your residency program
  • ECFMG certificate, if applicable.
  • USMLE/COMPLEX Score Reports
  • Official Medical School Transcript
  • A recent photograph

IMG Requirements

The University of Tennessee Affiliated Hospitals require all international medical graduates to have ECFMG certification in order to enter a residency program. If a non-US citizen, you must also have a J-1 Visa. No other visa will be accepted.

To ensure that all residents/fellows meet minimal standards, the Graduate Medical Education Program requires that all residents/fellows entering any graduate medical education program sponsored by the University of Tennessee College of Medicine on or after July 1, 2009 must have passed USMLE Steps 1 and 2 (CK) or equivalent examinations (COMLEX-USA or MCCQE). Successful completion of USMLE Step 3 is required prior to starting the fellowship.
