Combined Medicine-Pediatric Nephrology Fellowship
In collaboration with the UT Health Sciences College of Medicine Nephrology Fellowship program, we offer a Combined Medicine-Pediatric Nephrology Fellowship program. This four-year combined program will prepare fellows to be ready to practice in the growing area of both pediatric and adult nephrology, whether in academic or community settings, and particularly the transition ages of adolescence through young adulthood in a variety of kidney disease processes. At the completion of the fellowship, fellows will have completed ACGME requirements to be eligible for both the pediatric and internal medicine nephrology board examinations. Previously successful fellows have gone on to careers in combined adult & pediatric nephrology careers at academic institutions and tailored adult nephrology careers with an emphasis on young adult transitional care.
A sample of clinical rotations is provided below though there is flexibility in how the years are combined. These rotations are tailored to meet the needs of individual fellows.
