Research Interests

Molecular mechanisms of disease pathogenesis underlying neurodegenerative diseases of the retina including retinitis pigmentosa, Leber congenital amaurosis, age-related macular degeneration, and glaucoma; gene therapy; the role of inflammation in retinal disease pathogenesis; small molecular therapies for treating retinal disease.
