Chelsea Peeler has been with the Master of Cytopathology Practice program within the Department of Diagnostic and Health Sciences since 2019. She teaches classes consisting of Microscopic Evaluation, Cytopathology, and Cytology Laboratory Techniques. She also assists students with learning technical skills in the histotechnology laboratory. She is certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology as a cytotechnologist and histotechnologist. Before joining UTHSC, she worked as a cytotechnologist and histotechnologist in the Cytopathology and Immunohistochemistry/ Special Procedures labs at the University of Alabama at Birmingham University Hospital. In addition to the dedication to her students, Ms. Peeler currently serves on the College of Health Professions Student Affairs Committee and holds memberships in the national professional organizations of the American Society of Cytopathology, American Society for Cytotechnology, and the American Society for Clinical Pathology.
