Communications and Media Relations

The Communications team tells the story of UTHSC and manages all media relations for the university, while producing a wide range of internal and external communications, including news releases, magazines, feature stories, social media content, and strategic communications.

Media Guidelines

The Office of Communications and Marketing is assigned responsibility for coordinating all UT Health Science Center media contacts, for serving as liaison for all media relations, and for assisting in the promotion and dissemination of noteworthy items to the public. Public Records Requests

Public records requests for the University of Tennessee Health Science Center are fulfilled through the UT System Administration Office.

Any Tennessee resident may request records made or received pursuant to law or in connection with the transaction of official university business. Along with complying with the Tennessee Public Records Act, the university aims to respond as efficiently and promptly as possible.

Request Public Records

Requests can be made verbally, through electronic mail, via facsimile, or through the U. S. Postal Service or other means of physical delivery.

Summary Statement

As Tennessee’s only public, statewide, academic health system, the mission of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center is to transform lives through collaborative and inclusive education, research/scholarship, clinical care, and public service.  

The main campus in Memphis includes six colleges: Dentistry, Graduate Health Sciences, Health Professions, Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy.
