Lydia Barry has been with UT since 2017, serving within the Pediatric Language Clinic (PLC). Ms. Barry has expertise in autism spectrum disorders, social-language development/intervention, family counseling, and parent coaching. She provides home-based, center-based, and consultative services for families of children within the Tennessee Early Intervention System (TEIS) with an autism diagnosis/red flags for autism and/or social-communication delays.  She coordinates volunteer opportunities at PLC for undergraduates and provides supervision to graduate students in an advanced practicum in the home-based setting. Ms. Barry entered the speech pathology field due to experience growing up with a brother diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and has a passion for helping to empower families to be successful advocates and caregivers for their children.
