Tabling Events: Stalking Awareness Yellow Ribbon Campaign

The Office of Access and Compliance will be holding two tabling events with information and resources for students, faculty, and staff. Stop by our table to sign a yellow ribbon, showing your commitment to help spread public awareness about stalking. Also, you will be able to sign up for our signature event, “Stalking, Know It, Name It, Stop It”, to learn more about how to support victims and identify stalking behaviors.

A public awareness training, presented by OAC’s Civil Engagement Officer, Erin McElyea, created in part by the Stalking, Prevention, Awareness, and Resource Center (SPARC). This presentation will focus on identifying, addressing, reporting, and supporting persons who have experienced stalking.

Celebrate Black History Month with OAC!

The Office of Access and Compliance is proud to welcome Dr. Rochelle Stevens to the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in celebration of Black History Month. Dr. Stevens is a celebrated Olympic gold medalist, renowned educator, and advocate for health and wellness, with a story that exemplifies resilience and determination. During this special presentation, she will share the inspiring journey that led to her remarkable achievements, including the pivotal moments that shaped her career, the personal and professional challenges she overcame, and how her experiences with healthcare providers motivated her to push beyond her limits in both athletics and life. International Women’s Day Photo Booth 
Friday, March 7 in Madison Plaza
11:00am-1:00pm CST

Stop by our photo booth to get your picture taken, showing your support for women at UTHSC. Photos will be placed on the UTHSC Facebook page as part of a social media campaign #womenshistorymonth #uthsc.  All participants receive a fun prize! We encourage offices/department to come all at once for group photos, if possible.

Sexual Assault Awareness Month Teal Ribbon Giveaway

OAC invites you to join us in the Madison Lobby and pick up a complimentary teal ribbon to wear during the month of April to show your support for survivors of sexual violence.  Continue to wear your ribbon throughout the month of April and commit to learning more about sexual violence prevention.

Jewish American Heritage Month Tabling with Ricki's Cookie Corner!

  OAC invites you to join us in the Madison Plaza Lobby and grab a Kosher cookie from Ricki's Cookie Corner in observance of Jewish American Heritage Month! Jewish American Heritage Month (JAHM), celebrated annually in May, is a time to recognize and celebrate the contributions of Jewish Americans to American culture, history, and society, with the month of May chosen to coincide with the 350th anniversary of American Jewish history. Rest assured that all food items provided by Ricki's Cookie Corner adhere to strict Kosher and Parve guidelines.
