Student pharmacists interested in a Health Informatics and Information Management foundation can pursue a certificate rather than a degree. This certificate, offered in partnership with the UTHSC College of Health Professions, provides student pharmacists with the basic skills needed to practice in an electronic healthcare environment. All students accepted to UTHSC College of Pharmacy are required to complete a total of 10 hours of elective courses prior to graduation. Student pharmacists enrolled in the Health Informatics and Information Management certificate program may receive up to 9 hours of elective credit via the certificate program toward the 10 hour elective credit requirement.
