Group of residents and faculty

Research participation is a requirement in our program, and we have plenty of it going on! Our department has a designated research team led by Dr. Anna Joy Rogers.

Each May, our department sponsors The Annual Bradford Kincheloe Visiting Professor Lecture and Resident Research Forum. This research forum is dedicated to the memory of Bradford W. Kincheloe, MD, Professor and Residency Program Director, for his significant contributions to teaching in the field of women’s health care.

Abstracts are presented by our PGY-3 resident class to over 100 guests in one of our state-of-the-art auditoriums on the UTHSC campus. Three faculty judges pick the top presenters, and it is quite an honor! Dr. Logan McClure and Dr. Jasmine Eliwa were selected as winners this year.

The 2025 distinguished professor featured Richard S. Legro, MD, Chair, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Public Health Sciences, Penn State College of Medicine. His topic was, “Should we be treating stage 1 hypertension and Dysglycemia preconception?”

We are proud to announce that our department will be hosting its annual research forum in September 2025! Presenters throughout our campus and from within our community will be featured.
