Research Support
Pilot Project Research Awards
Every few years, the Neuroscience Institute supports competitive pilot project research awards for NI faculty. This program is designed to foster collaboration and advance new discoveries by providing funding for the collection of preliminary data or the purchase of small equipment needed to support multi–principal investigator (multi-PI) grant applications. These awards help investigators generate foundational data that strengthens larger external grant applications and promotes cross-departmental collaboration.
Proposals are reviewed by the Executive Committee and awarded on a competitive basis.
Previous Awardees:
- Viktor Chizhikov, PhD (Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology)
- Max Fletcher, PhD (Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology)
- Fuming Zhou, PhD (Department of Pharmacology)
