What I love about UTHSC/Memphis: Culture and history are everywhere you go in Memphis. There is a sense of community that is unique for a city of this size. The food scene is amazing and continues to grow every year. Clinically, the diverse patient population gives rise to a broad range of pathology. Plus, the faculty and co-residents are all so supportive and knowledgeable. It is an amazing place to live and train!

Hobbies/Interests: I am a big fan of live music, happy hours, festivals, dancing, running, karaoke (Tina Turner’s “Proud Mary” is my go-to song), eating crawfish, rollercoasters (the more intense, the better), and cheering on my Houston Astros, New Orleans Saints, and Tulane Green Wave.
What I love about UTHSC/Memphis: I love that UTHSC Dermatology is a categorical program, where a year of internal medicine training allowed me to get to know my new city and campus, meet a ton of colleagues that I can now call friends, and get settled in prior to PGY-2 year. Thankful for Memphis' live music scene, excellent barbeque, Mississippi River views and sunsets, and Louisiana crawfish at the Crawfish Shack.

What I love about UTHSC/Memphis: Memphis has a ton of things to do with my girls with the the fantastic zoo, parks, and museums. It offers so many of the pros of living in a big city without traffic and a relatively lower cost of living.  I love my supportive UTHSC work family and the well rounded training.

What I love about UTHSC/Memphis: I love the team mentality amongst the residents and how approachable the attendings are. Memphis has great food, lots of fun festivals and great history to explore.
