Clinical Trials

There are numerous clinical trials and programs taking place in Memphis studying COVID-19 therapeutics and vaccines. Learn more about each trial and how to apply below.

 

Regeneron Study 


The purpose of these studies is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of an investigational medicine, REGN-COV2, that may treat or prevent COVID-19. 

You may qualify for these research studies if the following applies to you:
1. You are at least 18 years old and
2. You have been diagnosed with/suspect you have Coronavirus (COVID-19/ SARS-CoV-2) OR your household member has been recently (within the last 3 days) diagnosed with/ suspect they have Coronavirus (COVID-19/ SARS-CoV-2).

Post-COVID-19 Clinic (Regional One Health)


UTHSC and Regional One Health have established a post-COVID-19 clinic to provide specialized outpatient follow-up care to individuals who have tested positive for the virus and may be experiencing long-term symptoms after recovery. The clinic will also be available to individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 and are asymptomatic but interested in learning about research studies to develop overall understanding of the virus and its residual effects.

To apply, please call 901.545.6969, select Option #2, and then Option #1. Referrals should be sent to 901.545.6092, and note “COVID Follow Up” as the reason for referral.

 

ENSEMBLE Study (St. Jude)


This study is designed to test a single vaccine dose of an investigational COVID-19 vaccine compared with a placebo. The study will include about 60,000 adult volunteers, including many who are older than 60. St. Jude and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center is recruiting about 500 participants in the Memphis area. Qualified participants will also be reimbursed for reasonable trial-related travel expenses to and from study visits.
