Faculty Affairs Work Group

The Faculty Affairs Work Group (FAWG) is an administrative committee, chaired by the Vice Chancellor for Academic, Faculty and Student Affairs (or designee), comprised of senior college administrators appointed by the dean of their respective UTHSC colleges, as well as the designated representative of the Faculty Senate, in accordance with the principles of shared governance. 

Committee responsibilities: 

• Review and approval of campus-wide policies and procedures related to faculty; 
• Review processes related to faculty appointment, promotion, tenure, and evaluation 
• Provide administrative review of proposed changes to the Faculty Handbook
