Description: The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Department of Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine, is seeking a highly motivated individual with well-documented expertise in health care claims and utilization database management and analysis, health outcomes and policy research and/or population health and health care delivery research to join a growing and dynamic team of faculty in the College of Medicine who are conducting innovative research devoted to health systems improvement for vulnerable populations. The full-time, non-tenure track position requires strong interest and established research track record in one or more of the following focus areas: Health Services Research, Health Care Delivery Innovations (e.g. Patient-Centered Medical Homes (PCMH), Care Transitions), Comparative Effectiveness, Health Information Technology, Health Disparities, Population Health, and Improving Care for Chronic Disease. We are particularly interested in candidates with research focus on improving medical care for people with chronic conditions.
