Description: The Department of Surgery at the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine (UTGSM) is seeking applications for a Cardiothoracic Surgeon position. This will be an academic appointment at the Assistant Professor level or higher, with rank to be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The candidate must have an interest in and commitment to teaching and research. Additionally, the successful candidate must be board eligible or certified in cardiothoracic surgery.

Responsbilities of this position will include the active practice of cardiothoracic surgery, and participation in teaching and research activities. This position will serve as attending surgeon in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery, and will assist in resident/fellow teaching programs. Candidates must demonstrate organizational, administrative, technical, research and patient care skills. This position will remain open until filled.
