Description: The Health Sciences Library is seeking an energetic, service and team-oriented, and collaborative professional to join our Research & Learning Services department.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provides reference and research support. Works collaboratively with faculty to plan, deliver, and assess course-integrated instruction.
2. Delivers instruction, research assistance, technology support, and assistance with scholarly research.
3. As an embedded librarian, identifies faculty/student needs and solicits input on library resources.
4. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of library services, policies, and procedures.
5. Participates in professional activities and professional development.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:
1. Master's degree in library/information science from a program accredited by the American Library Association or equivalent.
2. Basic database searching, presentation and teaching skills.
3. Knowledge of technology tools, including mobile devices and web applications.
4. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
5. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a strong service orientation.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in a science discipline; especially health or life sciences.
2. Experience with instructing users in searching health sciences databases.
3. Experience with web authoring tools and course management systems.

BENEFITS
University faculty appointment: This is a 12-month, full-time, non-tenure track faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. Salary is commensurate with education/experience. $50,000 minimum. Generous benefits package including 24 vacation days, comprehensive health care, and retirement plans.
