Thank you for your interest in Student Counseling Services. We appreciate the opportunity to support you in your personal growth and well-being. Below are a few important things to know about our counseling approach:
- We view counseling as a collaborative process of self-exploration that helps increase self-awareness and personal insight.
- Our goal is to assist you in better understanding yourself and the challenges you may face.
- As counselors, we see ourselves as guides and facilitators in this journey. We do not consider ourselves experts on your life, and we do not offer direct advice or ready-made solutions. Instead, we aim to create a supportive space where you can safely explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences.
- We believe that people are more likely to embrace and maintain meaningful change when it comes from their own understanding.
- Our role is to work with you to identify your strengths, build on your existing resources, and develop strategies to navigate life’s challenges more effectively.
