Meet the Assistant Vice Chancellor

Lyndsay Pittman, MEd, has been named assistant vice chancellor for Enrollment Management. She has served as the university registrar since 2018. Prior to coming to UTHSC, Pittman had served as Registrar for 10 years at three institutions in Oklahoma. She has over 16 years in higher education instruction, enrollment management, and student support services.

“Lyndsay has made a tremendous difference in her time at UTHSC. She has built an excellent team in the Office of the Registrar and her leadership in enrollment management will focus on integration of the three offices Admissions, Financial Aid and Registrar. Lyndsay is a talented leader with extensive knowledge of Banner and the student life cycle from admission to graduation,” Dr. Russell said. “We look forward to supporting her efforts which will positively impact our students.”

In her new role, Pittman will oversee the offices of Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, and the One Stop Shop. The Office of Enrollment Management provides enrollment services to students, faculty, and staff. The office also provides guidance for best practices in compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies and regulations and collaborates with Information Technology Services to update and maintain the student records and information systems.

“I am excited to lead our talented team in enrollment nanagement,” Pittman said. “I’m eager to reinforce our focus on compliance and optimize our services to students in 2021. I also look forward to strengthening our partnerships with the colleges. Integrating our services with the colleges will assist in data-informed decision-making. As we navigate the new dynamics of enrollment management introduced during the pandemic and beyond, it is vital that we leverage both our technology and human resources to enhance our services to students, faculty, and staff.”

Pittman has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Oklahoma. She holds a master’s degree in adult and higher education majoring in student personnel from the University of Central Oklahoma. She is currently completing her doctoral degree in higher and adult education with a concentration in higher education at the University of Memphis.
