Faculty Academic Continuity Information
March 11, 2020
Dear Faculty Colleagues:
Chancellor Schwab just reported that, effective March 23rd and until further notice, all in-person didactic courses must be moved to remote
delivery.
While remote delivery is not new for some of our faculty, it is very different for
many other faculty members who’ve never taught remotely.
To assist you and to keep our faculty and students informed, we have developed an
Academic Continuity website. On this website you will find:
- Resources to help you teach remotely
- AFSA resources for faculty and students
- A repository of Academic Continuity Updates
We have an “Ask a Question” tab where you can submit a question for us to answer.
That same page will house questions that we’ve answered, organized in categories for
easier review.
The Teaching and Learning Center, CHIPS, GEB, and all other AFSA units stand ready
to assist you as you make required modifications in how and when you teach.
Our focus remains keeping our community healthy and fulfilling our mission to educate
and support healthcare providers and scientists who promote the health and well-being
of the public. On behalf of AFSA, we offer our thanks for your patience as we work
together to minimize the impact of the virus on our community.
