The UTHSC Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program

The UTHSC Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is a part of the Department of Psychiatry, led by Dr. James Greene.

Our fellowship program provides a clinically rich, detailed experience, interspersed with didactics and close supervision in a supportive setting that aims to develop a strong foundation in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Through this journey fellows develop a strong foundation in understanding biological, psychological, social and developmental factors affecting the lives of children, adolescents and their families, and learn to assess and treat their patients using the same approach.

We have two fellows per academic year, and four core faculty members that devote a considerable part of their time and attention to the teaching and professional development of the trainees. We do have several volunteer facilities that our fellows have access to. Due to the size of our program, there is ample opportunity to get individual attention, to pursue interests with mentors, and we aim to have a close knit bond.
