UT Memphis Medicine/Pediatrics Curriculum

Our combined four year training program leads to board eligibility in both Medicine and Pediatrics. We are excited about the ACGME recognition of Med-Peds as a residency option all its own, and we feel our program easily facilitates this philosophy. The curriculum at UT is ideal for acquiring the skills necessary to provide total family-oriented, lifelong care. The majority of our residents enter practices that include both adult and pediatric medicine.

Due to our nightfloat systems at Methodist, VAMC, The Med and Le Bonheur, there is no overnight call on Medicine or Pediatric wards.

Board preparation is gained through weekly MKSAP conferences and Pedstudy conferences.

All Med-peds residents are granted individual access to Up To Date and full access to UTHSC Library.

Continuity clinics alternate between IM and Peds weekly during PGY1-PGY4 years.

See UTHSC Pediatrics or UTHSC Internal Medicine web pages for more details and descriptions of specific rotations.
