Darrylinn Todd,
Associate Vice Chancellor

Darrylinn Todd, EdD, has been named associate vice chancellor of Student Affairs and Enrollment Services at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC).

In this role, she will provide executive leadership for and oversee several administrative units that provide centralized campus support activities and services to students, including the Offices of Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar’s Office, Student Life, Student Affairs, and the One-Stop Shop. She will represent UTHSC as the chief student affairs officer. Dr. Todd will also assume an active role in the campus wide wellness efforts in collaboration with the Office of Student Academic Support Services and Inclusion (SASSI), UTHSC colleges and the Memphis community.

Dr. Todd brings over 20 years of higher education experience.  She has held a number of academic leadership positions and previously served as executive administrator at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, the senior director of  Online Learning at DePaul University and vice president of Academic and Student Affairs at Malcolm X College-City Colleges of Chicago. 

During her tenure as vice president, Dr. Todd was instrumental in managing academic and student affairs initiatives and healthcare programs in an urban setting. In this role, she provided leadership and management of a broad range of student services to assist students in achieving their academic and life goals.  Her staff served health science students in selecting healthcare pathways, identified financial support, supported ongoing completion and graduation initiatives, offered career and transfer assistance, sponsored student clubs and organizations, and provided assistance for veterans and students with disabilities.  

A native of Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Todd earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in education from the University of Northern Colorado, a Master of Arts in Education from Oakland University and an MBA and doctoral degree from Northern Illinois University.    

The position will directly report to Lori Gonzalez, PhD, vice chancellor of Academic, Faculty, and Student Affairs at UTHSC.

Melodie Patterson-Terry,
Business Analyst

Mel, originally from Memphis, is the business analyst for the Office of Student Affairs and Enrollment Services. She earned her BA in Political Science from UT Martin. She also earned a BPS in Professional Studies/Paralegal Studies, Master’s in Business Administration, and is pursuing an EdD in Higher Education from the University of Memphis. Mel always thought she’d be an attorney, but while attending University of Memphis, found herself assisting colleagues with complex admissions’ processes, as well as researching, testing, and implementing software for enrollment services. Mel is an avid science fiction and fantasy fan and plans her travels to satisfy that fun fact.

Jennesa LaSane,
Administrative Coordinator

Jennesa LaSane serves as the administrative coordinator in the Office of Student Affairs & Enrollment Services and reports directly to Dr. Todd. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Memphis in Anthropology with a minor in Sociology. Jennesa plans to begin a Master’s degree program at the University of Memphis. She is passionate about diversity and inclusion, student success, minority development, and the city of Memphis.

Ann Salina
Director of Admissions Operations

Ann is director of Admissions Operations. Originally from Norwich, Connecticut, she relocated to Memphis in 2016. Ann has a Bachelor’s of Art, Cultural Anthropology and Music from Central Connecticut State University and is pursuing a Master’s of Professional Studies and Strategic Leadership at the University of Memphis. Ann states students bring exciting ideas and energy to her work and to that end, she oversees the admissions staff collaborating with all six colleges to deliver best practices for a successful admissions process. When not working, Ann travels long distances to either perform or enjoy live music.

Andrea Jordan
Admissions Counselor - College of Medicine, College of Dentistry

Andrea is the admissions counselor for the College of Medicine and the College of Dentistry. She earned her Associate’s in Liberal Arts from Austin Peay State University and is actively pursuing her Bachelor’s. Her greatest work joy comes during graduation season when students come full circle – from just a file, to a student navigating campus life, to the graduation ceremony itself. Andrea is a foodie and considers herself an unofficial food critic.

Sheryta Edwards
Admissions Counselor - College of Health Professions

Sheryta is the admissions counselor for both Health Professions and Speech, Pathology, and Audiology. Sheryta earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting from Rust College in Holly Springs, Mississippi. She joined UTHSC in 2011 and, when not at work, enjoys reading good books and traveling to new places.

Christie Rakestraw
Admissions Counselor - College of Nursing

Christie is the admissions counselor for the College of Nursing. Christie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Memphis. Christie joined UTHSC in 2017 and brings many years’ work experience in both admissions and student recruitment. When not in the office, Christie loves to shop, bake, and spend time with her dogs.

Paula Webber
Admissions Counselor - College of Graduate Health Sciences, College of Pharmacy

Paula is the admissions counselor for the College of Graduate Health Science, College of Pharmacy, and the Audiology, Speech Pathology (ASP) 3+1 program. Paula is earning her Bachelor of Science in Management Organizational Development from Bethel University. Originally from Memphis, Paula has been with UTHSC since 2002 and finds great joy in the diversity of the student population. She is passionate about her faith, family, and her career.

LaTonya Wright - Admissions Compliance Specialist

LaTonya is the admissions compliance officer and joined UTHSC in 2017. Among her many responsibilities, she is the primary point of contact for residency classification for tuition purposes, applicant reinstatement, non-degree applications, and accuracy verification of supplemental document submission. LaTonya earned a Bachelor’s in Education from the University of Memphis and a Master’s in Education from Cambridge College, in Boston. She’s passionate about counseling psychology and academic counseling, and lives by the mantra “attitude creates your world and designs your destiny.”

Shanta Hampton
Admissions Administrative Assistant

Shanta, Admissions administrative assistant, has been with UTHSC since 2011. She is a first point of contact for all visiting the department and can be seen leading campus tours. Shanta is passionate about being her best self, is currently enrolled at Southwest Community College and loves to travel.

Paulette Moore
Associate Director of Financial Aid and Financial Aid Counselor - College of Nursing

Paulette is both associate director of financial aid and the financial aid counselor for the College of Nursing. Employed with UTHSC since 1992, she utilizes that rich history and longevity in the overall administration of federal, state, and institutional programs. Paulette earned a Bachelor of Religion in Christian Education from Jacksonville Theological Seminary and is also certified as a medical secretary. Paulette is an active community and school volunteer and considers serving students as well as giving back to her hometown, Memphis, a highest calling.

Janice Maddox
Financial Literacy Coordinator and Financial Aid Counselor - College of Dentistry, College of Graduate Health Sciences

Janice is the financial literacy coordinator and is responsible for the design and implementation of all financial aid, debt management curriculum. Additionally, she is financial aid counselor for the College of Graduate Health Sciences and the College of Dentistry. Originally from Alabama, Janice earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the Mississippi University for Women and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. A big football fan, Janice enjoys travel and considers the gym her private sanctuary.

Debra Bolton
Financial Aid Counselor - College of Medicine

Debra is the financial aid counselor for the College of Medicine. Originally from Memphis, she received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Rhodes College. Debra spent several years working in nonprofit fundraising and worked part time at her alma mater. Employed at Rhodes, she discovered her love of working with college students and changed her career path to reflect that decision. Debra enjoys spending time with her family and two boxers.

Gloria Dobbs
Financial Aid Counselor - College of Health Professions

Gloria, financial aid counselor, earned a Bachelor’s from University of Tennessee at Knoxville and a Master’s of Art and her teaching license from the University of Memphis. She brings a wealth of knowledge about the financial aid process and is passionate toward helping others attain their goals through the accomplishment of a college education. Gloria loves the outdoors and to tour gardens.

Lyndsay Pittman
Registrar

Lyndsay joined UTHSC in May 2018.  An “Okie,” she previously served as registrar at Oklahoma State University in Oklahoma City.  Lyndsay is responsible for the day-to-day operations in the Registrar’s Office, including implementation and interpretation of academic policies, managing the student records database, and implementing new technologies related to process improvement in conjunction with all areas of SAES.  In her free time, Lyndsay enjoys taking her two yellow labs, Annie and Roxie, to Shelby Farms Park.  She plays guitar and saxophone and enjoys performing country music.  She makes frequent trips to Nashville to see various country music performances.

Lyndsay received a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Education in Adult and Higher Education – Student Personnel from the University of Central Oklahoma.

Ilisa Gunn
Associate Registrar

Ilisa, associate registrar, brings 23 plus years of experience in higher education within the offices of Admissions, Academic Services, and Veteran Affairs. She earned her Bachelor’s and relocated to Memphis after many years in Middle Tennessee. Ilisa sees her role as one of exemplary customer service to students. She maintains course catalog in the Student Information System.  In her spare time, she enjoys musicals, movies and plays.

Verlesha Wilson
Assistant Registrar

Verlesha Wilson joined the Office of the Registrar in June 2011. She’s served in several roles within the office, and in her current role, she oversees course scheduling, enrollment reporting, veteran services, and staff training. She also assists with several office initiatives, and assists faculty and staff with policy and procedure interpretation. She enjoys professional development opportunities and learning new applications and technology for personal and professional use. Verlesha earned her Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Performance at the University of Tennessee Martin, and she is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Health Studies at the University of Memphis. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Susan Miller
Student Services Specialist

Susan, student services specialist in the Registrar’s Office, joined UTHSC in 2018. Originally from Chicago, she has called Memphis home for 30 years. Susan earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the University of Connecticut and a Master of Science in Higher Education Leadership, Policy Studies, & Student Personnel Services from the University of Memphis. She handles transcript requests, verifications, grade changes and multiple other student service needs along with communications for the office. Outside of work, Susan is a member and committee chair in the LeBonheur Club, a volunteer organization that does volunteer work and fundraising for the hospital.

Thomas Davis
Student Services Specialist 

Thomas, Student Services Specialist, is originally from Memphis, has worked at UTHSC since 2014 and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Technology at the University of Memphis. Thomas assists with campus tours, student health insurance, residency classifications, and a myriad of other “front door” student needs.

Jonnie Perez
Director of Student Life and Health Careers Programs

Jonnie is director of Student Life and Health Careers Programs. He prides himself as a UTHSC ambassador and student advocate to meet the needs of students through the many diverse programs UTHSC provides. Jonnie earned his Bachelor’s in General Studies, Arts and Humanities, at Indiana University. He also has a graduate certificate in health studies from Indiana University and a certificate in leadership management from Stanford Leadership Academy in Stanford, CA. Jonnie is passionate about his faith, family, multiculturalism, and giving back to his community through service and advocacy.

Kamaria Robinson
Educational Coordinator

Kamaria is educational coordinator for the Tennessee Institute for Pre-Professionals (TIP) summer program. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Communications from Tennessee State University and Master’s in Psychology from Lipscomb University. Kamaria coordinates and executes all facets of programming for TIP and, when not at work, loves baking as a past-time.

Quintin Robinson
Programs Coordinator

Quintin Robinson serves as the coordinator in the Office of Student Life and Health Career Programs. Quintin offers a diverse background in service - based on his experiences with Southwest Tennessee Community College as enrollment/outreach specialist; Bethel University as graduate MBA academic advisor and St. Jude Research Hospital as patient services representative. Quintin grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, and received his undergraduate degree in Hospitality Administration from the University of Memphis, and his Master’s Degree in Leadership from Belhaven University. Quintin has a passion for outreach and serving others. In his free time he enjoys watching sports and spending time with family.

Dustin Fulton
Associate Director of Student Affairs for Conduct and Community Standards

dustin fultonDustin Fulton, MS, serves as Associate Director of Student Affairs for Conduct and Community Standards and Student Conduct Officer in Student Affairs and Enrollment Services at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC). In this role, he provides leadership for the university student disciplinary system for academic and non-academic concerns. Dustin also represents the Office of Student Affairs and Enrollment Services by interfacing with faculty, staff, and students from various colleges and departments, as well as parents, alumni, and off-campus constituents. Additionally, he develops programming, conducts training, and serves as the designated Deputy Title IX Coordinator for students. 

Dustin is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and earned a master’s degree in Leadership and Policy Studies with a concentration in Student Personnel from the University of Memphis.
