Omer Abdul Hamid, MD
Virginia Tech Carillion School of Medicine

Dr. Abdul Hamid is originally from Fairfax, VA and studied Biology and Cognitive Science at the University of Virginia before medical school. He is a budding child neurologist with a special interest in Nero Muscular disorders. Omer enjoys playing basketball, hiking, cooking and traveling. He looks forward to seeing the Grizzlies play!

Louisiana State University

Dr. Ariail was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. She spent 4 years in Baton Rouge studying Biology before returning to New Orleans for medical school at LSU. She eventually decided it was time to leave her home state and is excited to explore everything Memphis has to offer. In her spare time, Ellen, likes to spend time with her dog, Piper. Ellen likes to spend time trying new foods, and outdoor festivals.

Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine

Dr. Connolly was born in Chicago and raised in the Chicago suburb of River Forrest with his two older siblings. He graduated from Denison University in Granville, OH, before obtaining his Master's at Loyola University, Chicago. He then went on to medical school at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. Jared enjoys playing competitive tennis, eating delicious food, and playing card games with his friends.

Kacie Dillon, MD
Louisiana State University School of Medicine –Shreveport

Dr. Dillion was born in Texas and raised in New Orleans. She completed her undergraduate degree education in Kinesiology at Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers!). In her spare time, Kacie enjoys participating in cardio barre classes, playing fantasy football, listening, to Taylor Swift, and spending time with her wonderful family, friends, and beagle. Although Kacie is a dedicated and loyal fan of the New Orleans Saintes and Pelicans, she looks forward to attending the Memphis Grizzlies games.

University of New Mexico

Dr. Dye was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM. She attended undergrad and medical school at the University of New Mexico. She and her husband are excited to move to Memphis and experience a new (and less dry!) place. In her spare time, Alyssa, enjoys a good mystery novel, Netflix binging, and hanging out with her dogs, Banjo and Baloo.

Loren Farley, MD
Florida State University

Dr. Farley was born and raised in Ft Myers, FL. She received her Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences at the Florida State University (go NOLES!) and loved her experience there so much that she stayed for medical school. In her spare time she tries to be outdoors whenever possible and enjoys playing soccer, traveling, hiking, singing, baking, ands spending time with her friends and family. Loren is an avid sports fan who lives for college football, her teams being, Florida State and Ohio State. She always loves a new adventure and is looking forward to exploring all that life in Tennessee has to offer, as well as, being closer to her only brother in Nashville!

Bryan Furr, DO
Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine

Dr. Furr was born in Glendale, CA, and then moved to Castle Rock, CO, when he was 5 years old. He graduated from the University of Colorado, Denver with a BS in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Physics. Living in Colorado has greatly spoiled Bryan, with four seasons, the beautiful Rockies, amazing sunsets and the best football team in the world, the Denver Broncos (why else would sunsets be orange and blue!). He loves the outdoors, hiking, snowboarding, and wakeboarding. Bryan couldn't be more excited about the beginning, of his new life in Tennessee and can't wait to embrace all that Memphis has to offer!

Dr. Hancock was born and raised in Grand Prairie, TX. He attended Harding University in Searcy, AR and got his Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Caleb enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and watching movies. He is also an avid baseball fan and closely keeps track of his Texas Rangers.

Dr. Harvey grew up in Atlanta and Guntersville, AL. He attended the University of Alabama and graduated with a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Upon realizing engineers don't have any fun, Evan attended UAB School of Medicine. Evan is excited to (finally!) be joining his wife, Libby, in Memphis, where she has been pursuing her legal career for the past 6 years. Already a diehard Grizz fan, Evan is very happy to settle down in Midtown, take his 2 dogs to Overton Bark, and begin his training in his dream field of Pediatric Medicine.

Jennifer Hidinger, MD

Dr. Hidinger grew up in Memphis, Tennessee. She attended the University of Memphis, where she received a degree in biology, and remained in Memphis to attend medical school at UTHSC. Jennifer married her high school sweetheart, Zach, and they have a beautiful little girl named Rose (whose picture she will gladly show you). In her free time, she likes cooking, curling up on the couch for Netflix marathons, and taking her giant mutt, Bo, on walks. Jennifer is so excited to join the Le Bonheur team.

Dr. Hunt grew up outside of Atlanta in Douglasville, GA. She attended undergrad at the University of Georgia, where she enjoyed cheering on the Dawgs on fall Saturdays. Rachel then moved to Augusta, GA to attend medical school. After being a Georgia Girl her whole life, she is excited for a new adventure in Memphis! Rachel enjoys watching college football, discovering new restaurants, reading, traveling, and baking.

University of Alabama at Birmingham

Dr. Hyndman was born in Florida. Her parents were in the Air Force, and she lived primarily in the Southeast United States (SC, GA, MS, AL) but also spent time in Guam and England. She graduated high school in Montgomery, AL and then when to the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she received a B.S. in Biology and remained for medical school. Keshia, was an only child until the summer before medical school when her brother, Aiden Tyler, was born. She loves to read, hike watch movies, and try new foods. She is excited to live someplace new, get to know the area, and meet new people!

Dr. Kauffman was born in Tampa, raised in Charlotte, and only learned how to read because Hugo the Hornet came to his elementary school and told him to. He completed his undergraduate degree at NC State University and his MD and MPH at East Carolina University. Travis is joined by his wife, Jill, who is a Med/Peds resident. He enjoys working out, playing sports, building furniture/ construction, and is always looking for a new show on Netflix.

Dr. Kiene was raised in the small town of Greenwood, AR. She continued the family tradition of becoming an Arkansas Razorback when she decided to attend the University of Arkansas to major in Biological Engineering. Ashley then moved to Little Rock to study medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She enjoys spending as much time as possible outdoors, especially hiking, camping, and trial running. She also loves going to concerts and is excited to explore the music scene in Memphis.

Dr. Kirkpatrick is from Tulsa, OK, and is the eldest of 3 girls. Grace went to Oklahoma State University (Go Pokes!) for undergrad, where she studied Nutrional Sciences. She then went to OU for medical school, where she met her fiancé, now a surgery resident at UT! Grace also completed a MPH while in medical school. She loves running, does, and food.

Dr. Lott was born and raised in Nashville, TN. She attended undergrad at the University of Houston where she majored in Psychology and played softball for the Cougars. She returned to Tennessee to attend medical school at East Tennessee State University. In her spare time Baillie enjoys playing recreational sports, such as sand volleyball, spending time with her friends and family, and binge watching Netflix. She is very excited to start her next chapter in Memphis!

Dr. Lum was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He attended LSU Baton Rouge, where he not only graduated with a B.S. in Biology, but also met his wife, Soleil. He ventured from Baton Rouge to Shreveport, LA to attend medical school at LSU Health Sciences Center. In his free time, Brennan enjoys cooking, traveling with his wife, watching movies, and playing with his dogs Duck (who loves Frisbee) and Lark (who loves going on walks).

Dr. Ragsdale grew up in McKinney, TX and completed her undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders at BYU. She returned to Texas for medical school at Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her husband is an Emergency Medicine Resident and together they have a daughter and 2 dogs. Amy loves traveling and spending time outdoors biking, hiking, rock climbing, and skiing. She plans to pursue a career in Allergy/Immunology.

Dr. Severyn was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. He attended Kenyon College in Ohio, where he played soccer and graduated with a B.A. in Biochemistry. He decided a reprieve from the ice/snow was necessary and moved south to obtain his DO from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine's Bradenton, FL campus. In his spare time, Nick, enjoys kicking a soccer ball around, getting too emotionally involved in Steeler games, running, snowboarding, and tapping into his mother's Greek roots in the kitchen. After four years of sunshine, Nick is looking forward to having four seasons again, exploring the BBQ scene, finding a four-legged roommate, and lacing up his cleats in Memphis.

Dr. Shenep was born and raised in Memphis, TN. She attended Emory for undergrad, where she majored in Biology. Afterwards, Lori returned to Memphis for medical school at UTHSC. In her spare time Lori enjoys cooking, reading, playing with her dog, and jogging.

University of North Texas HSC Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine

Dr. Smith was born in Beaumont, TX and grew up in the surrounding area in Southeast Texas. He was the first in his family to go to college, so he stayed close to home and attended Lamar University, majoring in Chemistry. Wesley moved up to Ft. Worth for medical school and is finally leaving Texas for a bit for residency. He loves watching Netflix all day, running outside on nice days, and playing Ultimate Frisbee. Wesley also loves to travel to new places and does as often as he can.

Dr. Watkins, was born in Memphis, TN, but was raised in Horn Lake, MS and attended Christian Brothers University in Memphis, majoring Biology with a Chemistry minor. During College, Nick, had the pleasure of being a part of Le Bonheur's Summer College Program and then worked as a scribe in the Emergency Department. He attended medical school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Nick is thrilled to return to Le Bonheur, where his love for medicine first began. In his spare time you can find him with his girlfriend, Minna, and their two pups, Woodrow and Daisy. They enjoy exploring the great outdoors, attending festivals, tasking excellent craft beer, and watching the Memphis Grizzlies.

Kathleen Zani, MD
UAMS

Dr. Zani was born in North Carolina, then moved to Indiana (where she became a diehard Colts fan), and eventually settled in Arkansas. She graduated with a BA in Psychology from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville (insert obligatory "Go Hogs!" here) and returned to her hometown of Little Rock for medical school at UAMS. Having spent a lot of time in Tennessee visiting family as a child, she is excited to have the opportunity to finally live in the state. When she is not working, you can find Kathleen exploring new dog friendly places to take her adorable pug Winnie, reading, attempting to find the best salsa in Memphis, and spending entirely too much time watching football during the fall.
