Lovely East Memphis Home of one of our 4th year Med-Peds Residents

Home to beautiful neighborhoods, the University of Memphis, and excellent restaurants, East Memphis has many wonderful things to offer residents and is only about a fifteen to twenty minute drive away from downtown. Unknown to many, east Memphis contains one of the country's largest urban parks, Shelby Farms Park Conservancy, which is a favorite outdoors spot for Memphis residents. Shelby Farms not only has trails, frisbee golf, and horseback riding, but it also is home to its own bison herd!

East Memphis also offers a variety of opportunities to expand one's cultural horizons at the Memphis Botanic Gardens, The Dixon, and the annual Memphis Italian Festival. Shopping centers have everything from Target and Best Buy to meet everyday needs to local bookstores like the Booksellers and Laurelwood and local bakeries like Frost and Muddy's to keep shopping trips fun and fresh! Shoppers also have a variety of grocery stores to choose from including Fresh Market and Whole Foods. Fans of delicious food have no need to worry as East Memphis has everything from authentic BBQ and great hamburgers to fancy steakhouses and sushi bars.
