Master of Occupational Therapy
The primary mission of the department of Occupational Therapy at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center is to facilitate the provision of quality occupational therapy services to meet the health care needs of the citizens of Tennesee by preparing competent occupational therapy practitioners who are eligible for certification.
The Master of Occupational Therapy program graduated its first class in 2007. Graduates are prepared for entry-level positions as occupational therapists. The program ranked in the top 100 of graduate schools in Occupational Therapy (58) in the 2008 US News and World Report.
The UTHSC MOT program now subcribes to the new Occupational Therapy Centralized Application Service, known as OTCAS. Applicants for the 2011 entering class need to apply online using the OTCAS application. Our application deadline is March 1, 2011. Applications received after the deadline date will be considered subject to space availability in the entering class To learn more about the OTCAS application process and to get started, please go to the OTCAS website at www.otcas.org.
