Employee Occupational Services

University Health Services functions as the primary care clinic for all UTHSC employees and their immediate family members (over 18 years old.)

Occupational Health Services of the University Health Services at University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) is a source of convenient and compassionate care for faculty members and staff members with a primary emphasis on a healthy lifestyle and safe work environment.

The clinic is available for services including prevention programs, medical surveillance for those working in areas with identified hazards, a walk-in clinic for evaluation and treatment of work-related injuries, and appointments for acute primary care.

Appointments

To schedule an appointment for any of the following Occupational Health Services:

  • Immunizations
  • Medical clearance for FIT testing for respirator masks
  • Evaluation and management of work-related injuries and illnesses
  • Employment pre-placement and medical exams
  • Periodic health assessments and routine physical exams
  • Blood-borne pathogen post-exposure monitoring and management
  • Occupational medicine consulting services
  • Medical supervision of on-site occupational health clinics and services
  • Medical reports and protocols review
  • Medical evaluation for chemical exposure
  • Tuburculosis screening
