About the Conference

The second annual Delta Clinical and Translational Health Disparities Conference will be held August 19, 2019 in Jackson, MS on the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) campus from 9:30 am – 3:30 pm. The event will bring together health disparities researchers from UTHSC, UMMC, and Tulane University to discuss research interests and catalyze new collaborative partnerships which will result in the submission of a 2019 UTHSC/TU/UMMC CORNET Award proposal in Health Disparities Research. There will be keynote speakers from each institution, a poster session, 3-minute lectures, and networking. There is no requirement to present a poster or give a lecture, no registration fee, and the conference is open to all faculty, staff, students, and postdocs!

Registration is now open for the conference! The registration deadline is Monday, August 12, 2019. If others in your group would like to attend the conference, please have them register through the registration platform.

As part of your registration, you will be asked to respond to several questions regarding your research interests. The data you provide will allow us to create a secure, searchable database where health disparities investigators from each campus can search for and view research profiles of conference attendees. Upon completion of your registration, you will receive an e-mail confirmation that includes a link to the researcher database, along with directions on how to use it.

Can't attend the conference but interested in a collaboration?

If you cannot attend the conference but are interested in a collaboration, please complete the online registration, sharing your research interests so you can find collaborators and others can find you. More details on how to search for collaborators will be given once you complete registration.
