Finks Delivers Convocation Address
Dr. Shannon Finks was selected by the Class of 2010 to deliver the graduation address during Honors and Awards Convocation ceremony on May 27th. Dr. Finks graduated from The University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy in 1998 and completed a general pharmacy practice residency at Methodist Hospitals of Memphis in 1999. She is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and has received Added Qualifications in Cardiology. Currently, she is an Associate Professor at the University of Tennessee in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy. Dr. Finks serves as a member of the Editorial Board for the national Pharmacotherapy Self Assessment Program (PSAP). She is an immediate past President of the Mid–South College of Clinical Pharmacy. Her current practice includes Cardiology Service at the VA Hospital where she, along with her job–share partner, co–precepts students and residents in the area of cardiology. She maintains BLS and ACLS certification and is an instructor in both of these areas. Dr. Finks is married (to another Dr. Finks) and has 2 children, Harrison (age 8) and Grayson (age 6).
