The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program in the College of Nursing is currently undergoing self-evaluation for initial accreditation from CCNE. The College of Nursing submitted a self-study document to CCNE in August 2014; CCNE is scheduled to conduct an on-site evaluation of the BSN program September 29-October 1, 2014.
CCNE provides opportunity for program constituents to submit, in writing, comments regarding an educational program’s qualifications for accreditation status. Written, signed, third-party comments will be accepted by CCNE up to 30 days prior to the start of the fall 2014 on-site evaluation. Tennessee Board of Nursing Approvals
The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program in the College of Nursing is approved by the Tennessee Board of Nursing. The Tennessee Board of Nursing granted the College of Nursing initial approval to reactivate the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program November 30, 2012 with students enrolling Fall 2013 in the BSN program. The College of Nursing will submit an application for full approval of the BSN program upon graduation of the initial BSN cohort in December 2014.

CCNE accredited the MSN program Sept. 25, 1999. The most recent accreditation was April 27, 2009. The MSN program is accredited through Dec. 31, 2019.
The DNP program was initially accredited April 27, 2009 by CCNE. The DNP program is accredited through Dec. 31, 2014. The college hosted a CCNE on-site evaluation in Feb. 2014 with verbal exit report and written report indicating all accreditation standards were meet.
