Description: The UT HEALTH SCIENCE CENTER (UTHSC) College of Nursing invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track position as faculty in the Department of Acute and Tertiary Care.
COLLEGE OF NURSING RNFA CERTIFICATE PROGRAM:
1. First RNFA Certificate Program in the State of Tennessee
2. Program approved by the Competency and Credentialing Institute (CCI)
3. May be integrated into our DNP program (one of the top 25 DNP programs in the U.S.), allowing the APRN First Assistant to function in an expanded perioperative role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teaching responsibilities include both didactic course work and clinical supervision of students. Responsibilities for this role include clinical practice assignment in addition to educational responsibilities. Research/scholarship activities as well as service responsibilities will be determined in collaboration with Department Chair.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimal requirements for the position include a Master of Science in Nursing (DNP preferred), an RN license, an APRN license with current national board certification and 1 year of experience. All degrees must be from an accredited program. Additional requirements include: completion of a Registered Nurse First Assistant program (CRFNA desired) with 3 years of experience as an RNFA. Teaching in a professional nursing program is desired.
Academic rank is at instructor or assistant professor level based upon academic credentials.
