Description: The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Le Bonheur Children?s Hospital, and the affiliated practice group, UT Le Bonheur Pediatric Specialists (ULPS) are seeking candidates to join a well-established Division of General Pediatrics. This position will be a full-time, non-tenure track academic appointment. Academic rank at time of appointment shall be commensurate with experience and credentials.

Qualified candidates must possess an MD or equivalent degree from an accredited institution, be board certified in Pediatrics, and eligible for appointment as an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Tennessee.

The position involves a commitment to excellence in resident and student teaching, clinical practice, quality improvement, and clinical research. A new, nationally recognized children?s hospital, expanding academic programs, and outstanding compensation and benefits packages through a new practice plan make this position very inviting.

Duties include attending on the inpatient service, participation in the training mission of the University, and development of an independent area of scholarship. Clinical research and curriculum development are particular areas of interest to the Division. Education responsibilities will include participation in all departmental educational activities for trainees, and teaching medical students and residents.
