Hot Topics on the Beach
The dental practitioner is often presented cases requiring a multidisciplinary approach. Hot Topics on the Beach will look at case planning and treatment from the surgical and restorative points of view. The information presented is functional, practical, and will enhance your practice.
Day 1: Comprehensive Treatment Planning
Successful cases start with thorough treatment planning, and knowing your options is the key. Comprehensive treatment planning with an emphasis on long-term results will be discussed, along with the basics of restoring the long span, partially-edentulous segment and edentulous arch with implant supported prosthetics.
Day 2: All-on-4
One area of implant dentistry that has exploded over the last few years is the All-on-4 technique. Surgical and prosthetic concepts for this technique will be presented along with case presentations.
Day 3: Complications
Not every case presents in textbook fashion. Drs. Collins and George will review complications from unusual situations for the days that things do not go as planned. Dental implants will be the primary focus.
Day 4: Surgical and Restorative Applications
The dentist needs to be familiar with the classic approach to treatment along with procedures involving new materials and techniques. Enhanced surgical applications will be discussed as Dr. Collins presents interesting aspects of cases requiring skeletal manipulation. Dr. George will discuss the expanding role of new generation partials being utilized today.
Day 5: Sleep Apnea
An alarmingly high percentage of sleep apnea cases go undiagnosed every year. Your practice is the perfect place to screen for these patients. The causes, diagnosis, and treatment of this growing problem in our country will be discussed.
