Dr. Thelma Uzonyi has been with UT since 2019.  She serves as the director of the Pediatric Language Clinic (PLC), which is a grant-funded Early Intervention Resource Agency (EIRA) for the Tennessee Early Intervention System (TEIS).  She oversees center,  home, and consultation services for children birth-to-three who have an autism diagnosis or who show red flags for autism. She also provides clinical supervision to graduate student clinicians assigned to the PLC center-based program. She leads the Research to Practice lab within the PLC, and her research focuses on transactions within parent-child engagement and early identification of autism. Dr. Uzonyi also serves on the TIES EIRA Advisory Council and is a UT Promise Mentor within the university community.
