Mark A. Williams, M.D.
Associate Professor, Pediatric Urology
Dr. Williams is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Urologic Association, the Southeastern Section of the American Urologic Association and the Tennessee Medical Association. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the Society for Pediatric Urology and the Society for Fetal Urology.
During his fellowship training at the University of Tennessee, Memphis, Division of Pediatric Urology, Dr. Williams participated in clinical and bench research, having published papers in medical journals and several other invited contributions to journals and periodicals. He served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Urology at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill training system while he practiced private pediatric urology in Charlotte, NC, for 8 years after he completed his fellowship. He returned to Memphis to continue his private practice of pediatric urology and to resume an academic form of clinical practice of pediatric urology.
He is currently an Associate Professor of Pediatric Urology, supervising residents in their urologic training at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. He has resumed his academic work and has co-authored several presentations at national meetings with manuscripts currently in print.
