This community conversation is designed to offer support, information and help to anyone involved in a domestic violence situation, connected to someone involved in such a situation, someone who has the potential of being involved in an unhealthy or abusive relationship. Participants will receive advice, support, tools and resources from leading specialists and professionals in our community. The keynote speaker will be activist Mildred Muhammad, wife of the DC sniper and domestic violence survivor.  

Breakout sessions include:

  • Emotional Intelligency: Why Victims Stay
  • The Forgotten Victims: Impact of Domestic Violence on Children and Families
  • Empowering Victims in the Faith Community

Each registered participant will receive:

  • Breakfast and Lunch
  • Access to great resources from a variety of vendors
  • A gift bag filled with useful items
  • An opportunity to win great door prizes
